The Role & Responsibilities: 

Dover District Council is committed to delivering an excellent, customer-focused housing management service. To support this ambition, we are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and high-performing individual who shares our passion for achieving excellence across the housing sector—someone who is motivated to make a genuine difference.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for delivering a comprehensive housing management service to our tenants. You will play a key role in providing a proactive, customer-focused estate service, working collaboratively with Housing colleagues and external partners to ensure our estates are well managed, maintained to a high standard, and that tenants receive an outstanding level of service.

You will be responsible for managing a designated patch of properties and will bring a sound working knowledge of social housing, including relevant anti-social behaviour legislation and best practice. You will also be required to report any safeguarding concerns relating to children, young people, or vulnerable adults in line with established procedures.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening and improving housing management across the district, we are expanding our Housing Management team, making this an exciting time to join us.

Who We Are Looking For

✅Experience of estate management within a local authority or similar environment.

✅Experience of planning and implementing change

✅Experience of working with a range of partners, including communities, to develop new and different ways of working.

✅Excellent IT skills including word, outlook, excel, teams.

✅The ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders

✅An ability to communicate effectively with residents, senior officers and external organisations

✅Ability to understand the needs and perceptions of customers and to handle situations sensitively

This role requires a flexible approach to working hours. You must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business use.
