The Role & Responsibilities:
Kearsney Café is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable, Catering Assistant to join our friendly team. If you enjoy working with food, people, take pride in great service, contributing personal artistic flair, and thrive in a lively café environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Located in the heart of Kearsney Parks, the café is a busy venue serving thousands of visitors each year. Alongside day‑to‑day café service, we also cater for small weddings and private events in the Billiards Room, making this a varied and fast‑paced role.
We are recruiting for a full time Catering Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness standards alongside:
- Preparation of food items from our Menu to include cold and toasted Sandwiches, Breakfast items and other freshly prepared items.
- Daily Baking tasks from making Sandwiches, Cakes, Brownies, Scones, Soup to Sausage Rolls.
- Working alongside the Food and Beverage Assistants with the provision of hot drinks and till service.
- Ensuring the high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the Café.
The role includes an annualised rota of 4 days on 2 days off with occasional opportunities for additional hours. Shifts will include weekends, weekdays, and occasional evenings when private events are scheduled. Due to the nature of the café a certain amount of flexibility is required as the rota pattern can be changed with prior notice. The Café operates seasonal hours with shorter opening hours during the Winter months.

- Previous catering, made to order food items, baking and hospitality experience
