Could YOU be the Chair to lead Dover's Pride in Place Programme?
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Chair to lead Dover’s new 'Pride in Place' programme which will bring up to £20 million of investment to St Radigunds and Buckland wards over the next 10 years.
As Chair, you will lead the Neighbourhood Board. You'll bring residents, local businesses and community leaders together to:
- identify the projects that matter most to local people
- create a plan for delivery.
We are looking for someone who:
- cares deeply about the area and knows the local community
- is a strong and positive leader
- wants to make sure the money makes a real difference for our residents
The Chair is a voluntary role and cannot be an elected representative.

Timescale and process
Recruitment process launched: Monday 9 February 2026.
Application period – please send a short CV, together with a maximum one-page statement covering how you would propose this Board engages with the people of Buckland and St Radigunds and wider Dover and why you would like to be Chair of this Board. A short video of no longer than three minutes is acceptable instead of a written statement.

Applications must be received by 12pm on Thursday 5 March 2026.
Interviews: these will be with representatives from the Council, your MP and an external advisor on Tuesday 10March 2026.
Decision and appointment: following a recommendation by the interview panel, the Chair appointment will be made by the Council and the MP by Friday 13 March 2026.
The first meeting of the Buckland and St Radigunds Pride in Place Board will be on Friday 17April 2026.
