We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised professional who is looking for a challenging new role in a busy housing office environment.

You will play a key role in co-ordinating Dartford Council’s strategic plan to achieve gold Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) accreditation within two years & you will be passionate about keeping survivors of domestic abuse at the centre of Housing Services response to DA related crisis and recovery.

Keys area of responsibility will include:

Support the Housing Services Management Team and Housing Policy team to ensure all processes, polices and strategies keep the victim survivors of domestic abuse at the centre of delivery and decision making

Undertake scheduled case audits, quality assurance activity and performance monitoring to assess practice, support continuous improvement and provide assurance that services are delivered safely, consistently and in line with statutory and organisational expectations.

Provide expert advice, guidance and constructive challenge to officers and managers, promoting good practice across the service, and contribute to the implementation of the Council’s Domestic Abuse Strategy and wider safeguarding responsibilities.

Liaise regularly with the Council’s DAHA advisor and your counterparts within Kent and produce regular project updates to management

You must be able to demonstrate the following:

A domestic abuse related qualification;

housing legislation knowledge (tenancy and homelessness);

Excellent numeracy, written, oral communication and organisational skills;

Confidence, enthusiasm and a flexible approach;

Excellent administration skills, accuracy and attention to detail;

Good keyboard skills and the proven ability to learn and utilise new software;

Good customer care skills;

The ability to discuss sensitive issues with our customers calmly
