Grow your career at Dartford, the second fastest growing place in the country. With the Local Plan adopted, the Planning Strategy and Infrastructure team will be working to deliver an infrastructure led approach to planned growth of the Borough, supported by the Community Infratructurre Levy (CIL). Strategic challenges ahead include researching needs arising from ongoing development, CIL Charging Schedule review, and improving processes for the expanded demand for CIL funding.
Located on the River Thames, the Borough is a complex mix of both urban and rural environments, including Ebbsfleet Garden City and Bluewater shopping centre, but also the River Darent valley, marshland, chalk grassland heath and Ancient Woodland.
We are looking for strategic and flexible thinkers keen for a challenge in a positive high growth environment. We are a friendly and integrated team, with planners, urban designers and infrastructure professionals working together. You will have demonstrable analytical and written skills, problem solving and good communication skills.
We offer flexible working arrangements, and a policy of up to three days a week homeworking.
