This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a new and exciting role. We are looking for a full time Solicitor/Lawyer, Employment & Litigation to play a key strategic role in the successful delivery of quality legal services to the Council.
The ideal candidate will have experience of advocacy; as well as a proven track record of building and sustaining effective relationships with directorates and senior leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied and intellectually challenging caseload. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to work across all areas of Employment, Litigation and Local Government Law, including significant experience managing high value and complex matters.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (CILEX), with significant experience in the areas of Employment, Litigation & Local Government Law. Ideally you will have worked in local government, but we also welcome applications from those who come from the private sector and work with the local government sector.
Croydon Council is a hybrid working organisation and supports flexible and remote working. This role has minimum office attendance requirements.
