Reporting to: Headteacher Responsible for: Year 6 & Curriculum

Salary: L1 – L4 (Outer London) – Depending on Experience

St Mary’s Catholic Junior School is seeking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated and faith-filled Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and leader to help shape the future of our school and contribute to our strong Catholic ethos.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher in leading the school’s strategic direction, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning and promoting the Catholic life and mission of the school.

• Has a clear understanding of Catholic education and the mission of schools within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark

• Will contribute to developing the Catholic Life and Mission of the school

• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven record of impact on teaching and learning

• Has the vision, leadership skills and determination to help drive school improvement

• Can inspire, support and develop colleagues through strong and compassionate leadership

• Is committed to ensuring every child flourishes academically, spiritually and personally
