SEND Assessment Team Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to manage the operational delivery of our SEND Assessment Team. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and plans, delivered within statutory timescales and centred on the needs of children, young people, and their families.
You will lead and develop a team of EHC Coordinators, driving high performance, professional development, and a culture of collaboration and accountability. The role involves overseeing statutory decision-making, chairing key panels, and ensuring equitable, transparent processes for assessment, planning, and school placements.
Working closely with schools, families, and multi-agency partners, you will promote effective inclusion, smooth transitions, and coordinated support for children and young people with SEND. You will also use data and performance insights to monitor service quality, inform strategic improvements, and support inspection readiness.
This is a key leadership role requiring strong knowledge of SEND legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving outcomes and opportunities for children and young people with SEND.
