The Council are seeking a Support Assistant who can provide administrative support in relation to Forest School bookings; Volunteering; Health & Safety and Training records management; and digital communications.

Duties of the role

As an essential member of the Parks, Countryside and Open Spaces Team, you will provide a professional and efficient administrative support service across key areas of the service. This will include responding to enquiries, co-ordinating Forest School bookings, managing customer correspondence, processing invoices and maintaining accurate booking records so that residents, visitors and customers receive clear and timely information.

You will also support the Council’s volunteering programme by helping to improve processes for recruitment, onboarding and retention. The role will involve maintaining health and safety documentation, training records and other compliance information, as well as keeping Parks and Open Spaces website content accurate, relevant and accessible to support customer needs and promote Council services.

Qualifications and skills required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above 
  • Experience of working within an administrative or business support environment 
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records and databases
