Multi-Trade Operative x 5 vacancies
The Multi-Trade Operative is responsible for carrying out reactive repairs and minor planned maintenance works across the Barbican Residential Estate.
The role delivers a broad range of general building repairs across multiple trades, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Working under the supervision of the Repairs Supervisor, the post holder is responsible for diagnosing faults, undertaking repairs during the first visit wherever possible, and ensuring all work activity is accurately recorded within the repairs management system.
The role requires strong practical skills, good problem-solving capability, and the ability to work professionally within occupied residential buildings while delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.
The Multi-Trade Operative will be responsible for:

Delivering reactive repairs and minor planned maintenance works.

Diagnosing faults and resolving defects during the first visit where possible.

Maintaining accurate job records within the Civica repairs system via mobile devices.

Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with technical standards and health and safety legislation.

Identifying follow-on works or specialist requirements where repairs cannot be completed immediately.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicant will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service check.
