About us

The City of London Corporation, representing the UK as a global financial centre, has established a permanent presence in the United States and is seeking an experienced Business Operations & Communications Officer to support our US Managing Director to help deliver high-profile events, visits and stakeholder engagement that strengthen the City of London Corporation’s presence in the US.  This role presents a rare opportunity to help contribute to the future of the UK-US relationship in financial and professional services (FPS), a sector at the heart of global innovation and economic growth.

 

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing proactive business and administrative support to senior leadership.
  • Planning and delivering high-profile events and visit programmes.
  • Drafting communications, invitations and stakeholder materials.
  • Managing CRM data and event pipelines.
  • Supporting budget monitoring.
  • Supporting policy briefings on international trade and global developments.

 

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong experience in events, operations or senior business support.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience producing clear, high quality written communications.
  • Strong understanding of government issues and public affairs.

✅ Right to work in the US.
