Chelmsford Sport & Athletics Centre is one of Chelmsford City Council’s four leisure facilities, offering a wide range of sporting activities with something for everyone. Our team works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where every member of staff plays an important role in delivering excellent service.

We are looking for motivated and committed Gymnastics Coaches to lead the delivery of our gymnastics courses. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young participants, support skill development, and create a fun and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering structured gymnastics sessions for children, adapting their coaching style to suit a range of abilities and skill levels. They will motivate and support participants in developing confidence and skills while maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming learning environment. Providing excellent customer service to both participants and parents/carers is essential.

Applicants should have experience of coaching children’s gymnastics and be confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality coaching sessions, able to adapt sessions to meet a variety of needs and abilities and committed to providing outstanding customer care. A Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching Qualification is required.

There are a variety of coaching opportunities available, depending on ability and experience. This position is offered on a casual basis, with hours available during the evenings, weekends, school holidays and some daytime shifts.
