Chelmsford City Council operates four leisure centres across the city, offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities for all ages. During the school holidays, we run City Camps; a fun-filled, engaging camp for children aged 4–7 and 8–12, designed to introduce them to exciting new activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Chelmsford City Council is looking for dedicated individuals to lead our City Camps during the school holidays at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre.

As a Camp Leader, the successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering a variety of fun, active and inclusive sessions for children aged 4–7 and 8–12. To help create a safe and engaging environment where every child feels encouraged, supported, and excited to take part.

We’re looking for a confident communicator with a passion for working with children and helping them thrive. The post holder must have the ability to tailor activities to suit different ages, abilities, and interests and hold a sports leadership or coaching qualification.

This post is offered on a casual basis and the successful applicants will be required to work predominantly during the school holidays.

Interviews are currently schedule for the week commencing 25th May 2026.
