The Community Sport & Wellbeing Team at Chelmsford City Council is looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced people to assist with the running of the Play in the Park sports & play schemes during the Summer Holidays 2026.

Applicants should have experience of working with children of pre-school or primary school age. This could be in a childcare/nursery or school setting, as a coach, or youth worker. Ideally you will be comfortable delivering games and sports activities, and arts and crafts.

Staff are required on weekdays (excluding bank holidays) during the summer school holidays, including one essential training day during this period:

Summer holidays run from: Wednesday 22nd July 2026 – Friday 21st August 2026

Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring List check and appointment is subject to this being successful.

A practical assessment day for this role is scheduled for Wednesday 27th May 2026 with interviews being held on: Thursday 28th May 2026 & Friday 29th May 2026
