Chelmsford City Council operates four leisure centres across the city, each offering a diverse range of sport and fitness activities to the local community.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Administrator to support the delivery of facilities and operational services across our four leisure centres.
This role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Facilities Manager, ensuring the effective coordination of contractors, site visits, and maintenance activities across the leisure sites. Responsibilities will include maintaining compliance and contractor documentation, managing service records and remedial works, supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of facilities services, including assistance during emergency situations.
The ideal applicant is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating with contractors and internal teams. They should be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work proactively in a fast-paced environment. Strong IT skills, including experience with databases and MS Office, are essential, along with a background in administration and excellent record-keeping abilities.
This position is offered on a part-time basis, working 12 hours a week across two to three days however we are open to discussing this arrangement with the successful applicant.
