Set within 574 acres of historic parkland, Hylands Estate is one of Chelmsford’s most treasured heritage assets, featuring the Grade II* listed Hylands House, the Stables and the Grand Pavilion. As both a cultural destination and a thriving events venue, Hylands hosts weddings, corporate functions, private hire, community events and major park attractions. We are seeking an Events and Weddings Executive to support the delivery of a high quality, customer focused and commercially successful events service across the Estate. Working closely with the Senior Events and Sales Executive and Assistant Hylands Manager – Events & Business Development, the postholder will manage a portfolio of clients and act as their primary point of contact, guiding them through the customer journey from initial enquiry to event delivery. The role involves supporting event planning and coordination, assisting with sales, promotional and marketing activity, maintaining accurate documentation and booking systems. This also includes working collaboratively with operational teams, suppliers and partners to ensure events are delivered to a consistently high standard while contributing to the Estate’s revenue generating objectives.
The ideal applicant will have experience in event coordination or a customer focused environment, strong organisational and communication skills, and a proactive, solutions focused approach. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service, the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, and flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays is essential.
