About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Because we're not just home to the UK's fast-growing economy. We're home to the most important conversations happening today. And we're making radical social change a reality so that nobody gets left behind.
What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
As a Credit Control Officer, you will be part of a team managing a large, diverse caseload of debt including Sundry, Commercial Rent, Care Charges, Housing Benefit and Former Tenant arrears. You’ll take a customer focused approach to maximising revenue and collection for the organisation as well as delivering the ambitions set out in our Camden 2025 plan.
You’ll provide a professional and proactive service by responding to a variety of correspondence, taking telephone calls while working with services and colleagues to ensure accurate, effective billing while maximising recovery of debt in a cost-effective way.
You will identify and take recovery action against individuals, businesses and public bodies all the way through the collection process. This will require you to attend and represent the Council in court both in person and virtually.
This role can be challenging, as you’ll be managing a range of queries relating to billing and taking debt recovery action. However, you’ll be playing a crucial role in supporting the Council in maximising its resources to deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents.
