We’re looking for a dynamic People Partner to play a pivotal role in driving organisational transformation and workforce excellence across our services.

This is a highly influential role where you’ll work alongside senior leaders to shape people strategy, build organisational capability, and lead meaningful change that directly impacts our communities.

About the role

As a People Partner, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of HR and OD strategy within a designated department
  • Act as a key decision-maker, contributing to business planning and service performance
  • Provide expert advice on workforce strategy, employee relations, and organisational change
  • Drive culture change, engagement, and leadership development
  • Use workforce data and insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Build strong partnerships with trade unions and key stakeholders
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across all people practices

You’ll also take ownership of key corporate initiatives and contribute to the wider People Strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced HR/OD professional who can operate confidently at a senior level. You will bring:

  • Significant experience in a senior HR or People Partnering role
  • A strong track record in organisational change and transformation
  • Expertise in employee relations, employment law, and workforce strategy
  • Outstanding influencing, coaching and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in complex environments
  • A passion for developing people, driving performance, and improving outcomes

CIPD Chartered membership (or working towards) and a relevant degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) are essential.

This role offers agile working, however there is a requirement to work on-site in Bury at least 2 days per week to support collaboration, partnership working and visibility across services.
