Bury’s safeguarding system is built on strong partnerships, shared accountability and a commitment to protecting children, young people and adults at risk. To further strengthen this work, we are investing in dedicated leadership capacity within the Bury Safeguarding Partnership.
We’re looking for a Safeguarding Partnership Deputy Lead to support the effective delivery of our statutory safeguarding arrangements, drive highquality multiagency practice, and promote a culture of learning, assurance and continuous improvement across the borough.

About the role
As the Safeguarding Partnership Deputy Lead, you will act as a key link between agencies, providing expert safeguarding, quality assurance and performance insight to inform strategic decisionmaking.
You will support the Safeguarding Partnership Manager in leading the operational delivery of the Partnership’s work, ensuring subgroups, business plans and statutory responsibilities are effectively coordinated. This includes:
- Leading multiagency quality assurance, audits and performance activity
- Coordinating the delivery of business plans, policies and procedures
- Providing highlevel safeguarding advice to agencies
- Producing performance reports and assurance updates for senior leaders
- Supporting and monitoring statutory and local safeguarding reviews
- Embedding learning and reflective practice across the safeguarding system
- Deputising for the Safeguarding Partnership Manager when required
Salary: Grade 15 | £50,269-51,356 Per Annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week

Location: Hybrid Working (Agile worker with base at Town Hall / 3 Knowsley Place)
