Job title: Project Manager - Home Improvement Agency Transformation Project

Grade: BR11-13

Salary: £41,476 - £50,867 (Career Grade)

Contract: Fixed-term, 1 Year / 36 Hours Per Week

Location: Bromley Civic Centre

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days per week office attendance.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in transforming Bromley's Home Improvement Agency (HIA), helping to shape a modern, responsive and sustainable service that enables residents to live safely and independently in their own homes.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Project Manager to support the delivery of the Home Improvement Agency Transformation Project.

Working closely with senior managers and key stakeholders, you will help drive service improvements, develop new processes and policies, support contract and governance arrangements, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will work collaboratively across Home Improvement Agency, Adult Social Care, Finance, Procurement and external partners to develop innovative solutions that improve service delivery and maximise the effective use of Disabled Facilities Grant funding.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of an essential service, delivering positive outcomes for some of Bromley's most vulnerable residents.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled project professional who can bring:

  • Proven project management experience within a public sector, housing, health or social care environment.
  • Experience of leading service improvement, transformation or change management projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive relationships across organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, interpret and present complex information.
  • Experience preparing reports, business cases and briefing papers for senior leaders and elected members.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience of developing policies, procedures and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants, housing adaptations or Home Improvement Agency services.
  • Experience working within local government.
  • Experience of service redesign and transformation programmes.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
