Salary: £27, 262 – £29, 900 per annum
Contract: Fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship (typically 24 months)
Working hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with flexible working options
Location: Hybrid working – Bromley Civic Centre and remote working
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Internal Audit and Assurance team as a Level 4 Internal Audit Technician Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in internal audit within local government, combining practical workplace experience with professional study.
As an apprentice, you will support the delivery of the Council’s risk‑based internal audit plan while studying towards the Level 4 Internal Audit Technician apprenticeship standard. You will gain first‑hand experience of how local government operates and the vital role internal audit plays in governance, risk management, and assurance.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, applicants must:
- Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
- Undertake all required pre-enrolment activities and assessments to ensure you meet the training provider’s entry requirements.
- Not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in internal audit.
- Be committed to completing the full duration of the apprenticeship, including off‑the‑job learning and assessment requirements.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
