Job title: Grants and Adaption Officer x2  

Grade:     BR10 

Salery:     £40,352. – 42,584. 

Contract: 2 year fixed term/36 hours per week 

Working hours: Monday to Friday   (9 – 5) 

Location: Bromley Civic Centre  

Working Pattern: Visits and Hybrid, 2 days a week office attendance.

The Role 

The Home Improvement Agency (HIA) are seeking proactive and highly organised grants and adaptations officers to ensure grant applications are processed quickly and works carried out efficiently and to a good standard.  The HIA utilises grant funding to provide aids and adaptions to resident’s homes across the Borough as well as a variety of discretionary loans We are transforming our services so that we can be truly innovative and responsive, ensuring that our residents can thrive in safe, accessible homes. Having increased the team, we have several opportunities to shape new services, influence best practice, and make a meaningful impact on the quality, safety and sustainability of homes for Bromley residents.

  

About You 

We are looking for a confident, skilled HIA professional with strong sector knowledge who will bring: 

Experience of grantsadaptations and knowledge of grants legislation.  

Knowledge of means testing and working with vulnerable clients.  

excellent organisational and case management skills  

Strong IT skills, with experience of maintaining accurate electronic records  

The ability to carry out inspections and monitor works effectively 

  • A customer focused, empathetic approach with strong communication skills 

 

  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team environment  

 

  • Appropriate qualifications in Construction, HHSRS, Trussed Assessor is desirable
