We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate Funding & Resilience Officer to help residents access financial assistance that supports their stability, wellbeing and long term resilience.
In this role, you will assess applications for a range of funding schemes, provide clear and supportive advice to residents — including those who may be vulnerable or distressed — and ensure decisions are made fairly and in line with policy. You will have a key role in supporting residents through a morning telephone service, helping people to make applications during our telephone opening hours of 9:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Friday. This telephone duty is carried out in the office as part of a shared team rota.
You’ll manage your own caseload, respond to enquiries across multiple channels, and use Excel to produce simple reports that help shape service planning.
This role is mainly based in the office but where call volumes allow, there may be flexibility for some duties to be undertaken from home, subject to service needs.

About You
You will need to evidence that you have:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including supporting residents experiencing hardship, instability or distress
• You will be comfortable dealing with complex information and making assessments based on this information
• Comfortable with managing budgets and data
• A creative problem solver
• Someone with a keen eye for detail
Key Requirements
We are looking for someone with experience of:
• Experience in a customer‑facing or casework‑based environment.
• Working under pressure
• Experience handling confidential information and sensitive or complex enquiries.
