A great opportunity has arisen for two Transformation and Commissioning Officers to join the Strategic Commissioning Team, one on a permanent basis and the other whilst the current post holder is on maternity leave.

The Strategic Commissioning Team are based in central Bristol and deliver a number of strategically important transformation & commissioning projects across a wide range of adult social care services.

The Team is involved in the operational delivery and roll out of new strategies, services & partnerships at a practical level, deliver real implementation on the ground and embeds change projects into business as usual.

The Transformation and Commissioning Officer role involves working alongside a number of stakeholders across the council such as housing, performance, finance, change management, policy and digital services,  and as part of officers ongoing professional development there will be an expectation that the role works across a number of different areas within transformation & commissioning and is comfortable working within a matrix management structure where resources are often required to be reassigned to meet immediate priorities.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
