Family Hub and Early Help Parenting Coordinator
Bristol City Council
Full Time, 37 hours per week, Permanent - East Central Bristol
Bristol Family Hubs are looking for an knowledgeable and experienced Parenting Co-ordinator to join our East Central Bristol team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about strengthening parenting support and making a positive difference to children and families.
As Parenting Co-ordinator, you will coordinate and oversee parenting provision across the locality, helping ensure families access the right support at the right time.
You will coordinate referrals and evidence-based parenting interventions and use local need, data, outcomes and feedback to inform planning and ensure our parenting offer is accessible, responsive and effective.
This is a outward-facing role. You will be visible across the locality, building strong relationships with Family Hubs, schools, community organisations and wider partners. You will promote the Parenting Pathway and evidence-based parenting programmes, strengthen referral pathways, increase engagement and build partners’ confidence in the support available.
As a knowledgeable point of expertise, you will provide advice, guidance and support to practitioners and partners, strengthening practice and confidence in delivering parenting programmes.
You will also support quality assurance, programme fidelity and practitioner development, helping ensure programmes are delivered safely, consistently and to a high standard.
You will champion parent participation, ensuring parents’ and carers’ experiences help shape and continually improve our parenting offer, and use data, outcomes and feedback to identify areas for development and support continuous service improvement.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of parenting support and a strong understanding of evidence-based parenting programmes, who can take initiative, coordinate provision, build effective partnerships and use their professional knowledge to support and develop others.
Although some group and one-to-one parenting interventions may be delivered where required, the main focus of the role is coordination, oversight, quality assurance, professional expertise, proactive promotion and partnership working, rather than direct case holding or predominantly desk-based work.
You’ll join a supportive Family Hubs team where partnership working, shared learning and achieving positive outcomes for children and families are at the heart of what we do.
If you have the knowledge, experience, energy and enthusiasm to get out into the community, build strong partnerships and help strengthen and promote parenting support across East Central Bristol, we’d love to hear from you.
