Policy Committee Chair Support Officer

Full Time 37 hours per week, Permanent
Location: Based at City Hall – minimum 3 days a week in the office.
We are looking for an individual to join the Policy Committee Chair support team.
Supporting three Policy Committee Chairs and the Deputy Leader, you will be required to deliver a comprehensive support service. This will include diary management, organising briefings, managing correspondence, undertaking research, managing transport arrangements, building successful relationships with councillors, colleagues, partners and stakeholders and supporting the delivery of events.
You will be an excellent communicator, problem solver, and be solution focussed. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of working in a political environment and experience of managing diaries. Sitting in the corporate centre of the organisation, the work of the office is fast paced and diverse – excellent time management and prioritisation skills are essential.
Additional Information:
- You will be required to be in the office approximately 3 days per week, more if requested. Working at home is permitted out of these times.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, to support the wider Leader’s Office team.
