Cemetery Operative
Bristol City Council
Full Time, Permanent
We have eight cemeteries across Bristol, where we provide a range of cemeteries services.
You will work within a well-established team, who are both skilled and experienced in burials and grounds maintenance.
You will deliver a high quality burial and prepare graves as directed and within legislative & Health & Safety guidelines as well as grounds maintenance at the direction of the Cemetery Supervisor.
Previous experience of working in Cemeteries and undertaking burials is not required. However, you must enjoy working outdoors and be prepared to work in all weather conditions and have a genuine ability to work within a very sensitive environment, learning about the delivery of an internment service, general maintenance of cemeteries and supporting members of the public.
