We are seeking to recruit the following.

2 x Fixed Term for 12 months, Full Time, Day Shift Roles, working 07.30am – 19.30pm, covering sickness

Permanent, Full Time, Night Role, working 19.30pm - 07.30am

Permanent, Part Time, Night Role, 19.25 hours per week working 19.30pm - 07.30am

Night shift full time pattern: 4 days working, 4 days off

Night shift part time pattern is 2 days working, 6 days off

Day shift pattern:  2,2,3 or 4 days working, 4 days off (subject to available vacancies)

For 2,2,3:

Week 1:  2 days working, 2 days off, 3 days working

Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days working, 3 days off

Please note all roles Include Bank Holiday and weekend working in line with shift pattern.

All roles require Police NPPV2 FULL vetting. This requires UK residency of 3 years. If this is not met vetting clearance will not be given. Further details below. 

We want to recruit people who will deliver the highest level of solution-orientated customer care, in our Operations Centre; which is a state of the art, multi-purpose Centre, delivering critical services 24/7 365. The services include Emergency Telecare response call handling, supporting the most vulnerable; Out of hour’s emergency call handling for the City, Lone Worker alarms, Security Alarms, and Community Safety (CCTV).

This is a multifunctional role that builds supportive customer relationships, adds value to its services through effective communication and liaison with customers, clients, directorates, and external organisations. You will be responding to Telecare emergency calls from a range of service users, you will provide reassurance and arrange the appropriate response for the most vulnerable. You will also be operating our Telecare and security alarm platforms, our surveillance camera systems; along with telephony, intercom and radio, car park systems, and concierge services.

You will be required to work creatively in an innovative integrated manner, in line with the scope and vision of the new Operations Centre, ensuring that improved services are delivered to the people of Bristol and beyond; and will ensure excellent communication, customer service, and accuracy, and will include liaising with the public and internal and external customers, as well as using your own initiative to solve problems. Good IT skills and confidence in the use of Microsoft Office are also needed.

You will be working in a 24/7 emergency critical response environment, with the requirement to work across different shifts patterns.

Please note that this post is subject to Police vetting (NPPV2 FULL) and an Enhanced DBS Check.

3-year residency is a requirement of police vetting. If you do not have 3 year residency you will not clear police vetting. This will be asked at interview, if you do not meet this criteria the interview will not commence.
