Group Manager - Flood Risk Management

This role is an exciting and unique opportunity to lead dynamic teams and drive the Council’s approach and strategy to flood risk and transport data management, meeting the aims and objectives of City Plan as well as the climate and ecological emergencies.
The role includes a blend of strategic policy making and project delivery. Specific activities include:
- Delivery of the Council’s obligations as Lead Local Flood Authority.
- Take a lead role in flood risk management schemes such as Resilient Frome and Bedminster Green River Restoration.
- Promote and direct partnership working with other Risk Management Authorities such as the Environment Agency and Wessex Water.
- Oversee the identification, promotion and completion of flood risk improvement projects using a risk-based and prioritisation approach.
- Supervise, motivate and mentor team members including allocation of resources in the delivery of projects across the Council.
