Part Time - 18.5hrs per week, Fixed Term - 12 Months
The local authority has a statutory duty to ensure the safety of children who are destitute and at risk of street homelessness. The No recourse to public funds team assess families and provide emergency accommodation if needed for people with uncertain immigration status.
The No Recourse to Public Funds Team are a team of social workers and support staff to undertake assessments.
The Customer Services and Finance Officer role is a 18.5 hour a week job share role to work in the latter part of the week which will manage subsistence payments, resolve queries and check and pay invoices.
You will need to have excellent customer service skills and a working knowledge of business support systems and procedures, ideally within a finance or customer service environment.
Please note that this role is subject to an Standard DBS Check.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.
For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
