Business Support Worker

Permanent, Part Time 15 hours per week/Job share working Thursday and Friday 08.30– 16.00.
We are looking to recruit to a Business Support Worker role. This is a very busy role, where you will have face to face contact with residents, all of whom have dementia.
You will be the first point of contact for reception, and you will help create a warm and friendly welcome for all visitors to the home. Some visitors will be family members, friends, doctors, district nurses and other professional members of staff.
In this role you will take initial enquiries for admissions to the home from a wide variety of sources. This might be in a planned or unplanned way, and you will need to demonstrate a high level of prioritisation skills and use of your initiate in the role.
You will provide support to managers and the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the service. Some of the tasks that you will be expected to undertake include:
Finance: Procurement of Goods/Services- You will be responsible for processing and ordering goods and services, including raising orders and processing invoices. You will need to be able to administer and balance a petty cash account.
Building Issues: Reporting and co-ordinating building repairs, liaising with internal and external contractors.
ICT Skills: You will need to have excellent word processing skills, excel and ICT skills, including previous experience of using a database to record information.
You will also need to be able to take minutes at meetings as required.
