Full Time, Permanent

This is an opportunity to support a citywide programme that helps children, young people and families access holiday activities, food and support during the school holidays.

As the HAF Grant officer, you will support the delivery of Bristol’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme by working closely with funded providers to help ensure children and young people can access high-quality holiday provision.

The role involves managing key aspects of the grants process and ensuring providers meet grant agreements and Department for Education requirements.

You will provide clear, practical guidance to applicants and funded organisations, respond to enquiries from families, professionals and providers, and help keep online information and resources up to date.

The post also contributes to monitoring and quality assurance during delivery periods, as well as reviewing data, feedback and provision to support continuous improvement, alongside helping to promote Your Holiday Hub and increase awareness of available opportunities.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisation, accuracy and confidence in managing a varied workload, along with excellent communication skills and an eye for detail. You’ll have experience providing administrative or logistical support, ideally in a grants, funding or project environment and be comfortable working with a range of teams and partners to achieve shared outcomes.

You’ll be confident communicating clearly with the public, providers and professionals, and able to organise and analyse information effectively, using tools such as Microsoft 365 and Excel.

You’ll also bring a clear understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, combined with a proactive approach, willing to learn, take initiative and play a positive role as part of a small, supportive team.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

You must be willing to work flexibly, including the occasional evening.
