The Regeneration Service is a progressive, multi-disciplinary team that works across Council departments, with partners, stakeholders and communities to enable sustainable, inclusive growth and placemaking, and to harness the benefits of growth to improve residents’ quality of life.

Our Regeneration Programmes are designed to unlock priorities in the Bristol City Council Economic Strategy, which outlines our vision for, and commitment to, creating a fairer, greener Bristol, where all of our residents are supported to thrive. And this is linked to the West of England Growth Strategy, which aims to transform our region, with a focus on Central Bristol.

What will I be doing?

There is a permanent post available in the Regeneration team, which will initially be focusing on the City Centre Regeneration programme.

You’ll be responsible for supporting project managers in the planning, organisation and implementation of different high profile, complex regeneration projects contributing towards the delivery of new homes, community and cultural infrastructure, high-quality public realm and local employment opportunities.  

You will be expected to take the initiative to work independently on certain tasks and be agile and open-minded in your way of working.

Tasks will include:

  • Planning and leading consultation and engagement events.
  • Commissioning and managing project work to support regeneration delivery.
  • Developing strong working relationships cross-departmentally internally, including with Development Management, Cultural Development, Property, Legal, Highways, Community Development, Communications and Engagement.
  • Building good relationships to address and respond to the day-to-day queries with key stakeholders, developers, local organisations and consultants.
  • Producing regular programme and project reports.

 

What do I need to have?

If you have a passion for creating great places and experience of working in a project delivery environment, we would welcome an application from you. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of regeneration work including, community engagement and stakeholder management alongside preparing, maintaining and updating project documentation such as business cases, benefit plans, risk logs and highlight reports, project communications and successfully supporting the delivery of projects.
