Full Time, Fixed Term for 18 months. 

Join our dynamic new Children and Education Transformation Service, where you’ll drive the council’s most ambitious change initiatives and capital projects as a Programme Lead, directly supporting our strategic priorities. As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate with the wider partnership, senior leaders, corporate services and analysts, tackling complex, high-profile projects across the Children and Education. 


This role leads our Stable Homes Programme, seeking to improve outcomes for children in care by embedding the work of our local Families First Programme and bolstering it with plans to improve sufficiency. This role will offer you the chance to lead and deliver a programme that make a real impact. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, translate strategy into action, inspire diverse teams, and balance robust governance with agile delivery.


We’re particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience of operational change as well as financial analysis and probity. You’ll lead a flagship programme at a pivotal moment, building on our strong foundations. In this high-impact role, you’ll convert strategy into practical, system-wide improvements - working collaboratively with operational leaders and meeting political scrutiny.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
