Fixed Term Maternity cover until May 31st 2027, Part Time 22 hours per week working Mon 9 – 5pm - Wed 9 – 5pm – Fri 9.00 – 4.30pm.
We are looking for a motivated, reliable individual to join our enthusiastic team with a great opportunity to contribute and develop their own specialist administration skills whilst supporting our work providing support to tenants in housing specially designed for older people who want to live independently. Our supported housing for older people offers easy to manage accommodation with 24-hour alarm system.
You will be responsible for organising the rostering of staff and on call arrangements to ensure adequate cover within the defined cluster areas and support for other cluster teams when necessary.
We are looking for someone:
- With excellent literacy and numeracy skills to be able to provide comprehensive administrative support within the Support to Older People team and support the Team Leaders in the planning and distribution of workloads to ensure the support needs of service users are met.
- With ability to assist in induction, training and monitoring of the team’s performance
- To receive calls from Emergency Control Office and, if appropriate, deploy Mobile Wardens within the defined 30 minute response target. Log all calls and maintain records of contact with service users, cross referencing actions arising to service users file as necessary.
- With working knowledge of ICT systems with a view to becoming a Champion user of IT systems, including the forthcoming implementation of the CX system
- To update confidential information with regard to service users, ensuring emergency control staff have the correct data to comply with the City Council’s Policy and GDPR Data Protection legislation.
- With good Interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate in a professional manner and to liaise closely with officers of Housing and Landlord Services, outside agencies and Central Emergency Control on all matters relating to the welfare of the service user as necessary.
- With ability to manager own workload and a willingness to work as part of a team.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
