Safeguarding adults matters and at Bristol City Council, it's at the heart of everything we do.


Under the Care Act 2014, local authorities have a statutory duty to protect adults who are experiencing, or at risk of, abuse and neglect. Our Safeguarding Adults Team sits right at the centre of this responsibility, acting as a critical first point of contact and driving high‑quality safeguarding responses across the city.


About the Team

We are a busy, skilled and supportive team of 20 Social Care Practitioners, Social Workers and Senior Practitioners, forming part of Bristol's front door service. We're looking for an experienced Social Worker to support the triage function of safeguarding
 
What You'll Be Doing

  • You will be triaging individual safeguarding referrals
  • You will be operate the Safeguarding Enquiry Line on a Duty rota system 
  • You will represent service users interests by attending the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub when requested.


This is a high‑profile, fast‑paced role where you'll influence practice, challenge poor standards, and help ensure adults in Bristol receive safe, high‑quality care.
