Transformation and Commissioning Manager

Part Time 29.6 hours week, Fixed Term - Maternity Cover to end May 2027.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transformation and Commissioning Manager to join the Children's Commissioning team, to manage and oversee a new multi-million pound Children's Home Strategic Partnership and associated social care projects. This will be maternity cover to end May 2027.
You will take a direct lead on the children's home partnership contract, from award to ongoing monitoring arrangements. You will work closely with the provider and colleagues in operational teams across children and education services, to design joint governance processes and working arrangements.
As part of this you will be required to undertake financial analysis and work with the provider on an open book accounting basis to ensure transparency and trust.
We're looking for someone with good experience of contract management, with an understanding of and ability to develop expert knowledge in around social care and children's homes. You will have excellent partnership working skills, be self-driven and work collaboratively.
The role will require a proactive & solution focused manager who is able to operate in the complex landscape of education & care services to drive through transformational change projects and service redesigns that help the council meet its statutory obligations.
The role will be expected to be involved in operational delivery and roll out of new strategies, new services and new partnerships at a practical level that delivers real implementation on the ground and embeds change projects into business as usual.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
