We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants to work in our Neighbourhood Safeguarding teams as Child in Need Keyworkers.
These are new posts created as part of strengthening our services to families and young people in the East and Central Areas of Bristol.
You will need to have an understanding and experience of working with families that face a range of challenges including drug and alcohol misuse, poor mental health and domestic abuse.
You also need to evidence an understanding of multi-agency working combined with good communication and written skills.
East Central is a diverse area, and families often face additional barriers of discrimination as a result of their language and culture. An understanding of the impact of these barriers is central to the role.
You will hold a caseload of families which require assessment intervention and support using our key practice framework of signs of safety underpinned by Systemic Practice. Good organisational skills and interpersonal skills are also needed to make effective relationships with families, young people; often at challenging times in a family’s life.
Intervention and planning should be purposeful to create change and enable children to remain within their families and communities.
