Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2028 (this can be extended, subject to funding).


Location:
 Hybrid working/ expected to attend 100 Temple Street, at least once a week. This is a community-based role, so you will be expected to visit service users in their own homes throughout the Bristol City area.


A vacancy has arisen for the position of Support Worker within the Supported Lettings Team. This is a great development opportunity for you to expand your casework and/or support work experience whilst playing a key role in supporting people resettle into accommodation after a period of homelessness. We also provide support to Bristol City Council tenants who are at risk of homelessness due to rent arrears. 

The Supported Lettings Team are a housing related support service based in housing options. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team that values collaboration, shares knowledge and works together to provide high-quality support to our clients.  You will receive a comprehensive induction with lots of opportunities to shadow other members of the team so they can successfully settle into the role.

Key to this role is an ability to support vulnerable adults in the community including supporting a caseload of clients to prevent homelessness, increase independence and achieve positive outcomes. This is a hands-on role with lots of opportunities to expand your knowledge of housing, homelessness and welfare benefits.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
