The Early Years Service are looking for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner to join our Early Years Portage and Inclusion Team. We are aiming to add capacity so we can provide intensive support for more children in early years.

You will provide high quality effective support to early years providers on the inclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities to enable them to reach their potential.

You will provide a range of city-wide support to early years practitioners across all registered early years settings and schools. This includes a range of training, practitioner workshops and modelling good practices and strategies.

You will be involved in developing and delivering training to all providers of early years education on supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities promoting their inclusion.

You will also be providing support to families of young children with special educational needs in their homes, following the portage model.

This role will focus supporting the inclusion of children, therefore you will need to have experience of working in an early years foundation stage environment providing support for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
