We are looking for a Senior Early Years Consultant to join our dynamic Early Years Quality Improvement Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role that genuinely makes a difference for children, families, and early years professionals across Bristol.

Your work will directly contribute to the national agenda on education reform set out in Every child achieving and thriving and Bristol City Council’s own Children and Education plan. In this, Bristol is unique in that priority outcome one is focused on better educational outcomes for disadvantaged children.

As a Senior Early Years Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring children achieve highly at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, closing attainment gaps, and supporting settings and schools to deliver the very best early education and care.

We are looking for an experienced, reflective and enthusiastic early years professional with a deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, quality improvement, and effective pedagogy.

You will be a confident experienced senior leader as you will be responsible for leading and the line management of our Early Years Consultants Team.

You will hold an up-to-date knowledge of current local and national policy and practice and be able to inspire practitioners, hold high expectations, and have excellent communication skills.

You will need to be skilled at building positive partnerships and navigating a wide range of early years environments and be motivated by improving outcomes for all children.

This role offers variety, influence, creativity, and the chance to help shape quality improvement across our early years sector ensuring that every child can enjoy, achieve, and thrive.
