Contract Manager in Public Health

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week. Your working days will be Monday to Friday.
Bristol City Council is seeking to recruit a Contract Manager working within the Strategic Contract Management Service managing contracts on behalf of Public Health. Contracts that sit within the portfolio include sexual health, substance use, smoking cessation, domestic abuse and leisure services.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in the Procurement & Contract Management and Public Health Services for a motivated and experienced contract monitoring professional, to ensure high quality and efficient service delivery in line with contractual commitments.
This is an opportunity to join Bristol City Council, a diverse and ambitious organisation with a £1bn+ p.a. revenue budget and £1bn capital programme.
You will be required to have some experience of managing a portfolio of contracts from a client perspective with the core skills of relationship management, communication skills, data analysis and performance monitoring, ideally with experience in both the Private and Public sector.
What do I need to have?
We need someone with excellent understanding of principles of contract and performance management and ability to apply these practically within a working environment for Public Health. The vision for Public Health is to improve health and reduce health inequalities in Bristol. The portfolio for this role will include sexual health services; an interest in this area would be desirable.
You will need to have knowledge and experience of applying contract law within a diverse/ complex organisation. You will also need experience of developing and sustaining effective professional working relationships with a wide range of partners, stakeholders and suppliers. A positive partnership approach achieved through effective relationship management is at the heart of this role.
