Permanent, full time and part time positions available in the Advice, Information & Assessment Service.

You’ll need to be resourceful, resilient, proactive, and prepared for a working day with plenty of challenges and variety. 

It is an exciting time to be part of our new front door service as we embed our new model of service delivery.

You will:

  • Work with adults from a variety of groups including physical disabilities, mental health, learning disabilities, older adults and carers.
  • Undertake Strengths Based Support Conversations.
  • Offer Advice and Information as a preventative to commissioned care.
  • Maximise use of social capital, reablement support, technology enabled care, and community meals. 
  • Undertake Carers assessments.
  • Undertake Care Act assessments.
  • Under senior guidance undertake s42 (Care Act) safeguarding enquiry actions.


Our work can be pressured & challenging so a creative approach is necessary, as is the ability to find strengths-based solutions, including innovative technological solutions.

You will have a full induction and ongoing support from your Line Manager and colleagues. You must have an interest in working in a multi-disciplinary way, be able to work quickly and proportionately and have confidence in respect of decision making and positive risk taking.

You will need to be a good communicator, with excellent time management skills; previous experience in social care would be an advantage but is not essential.

 It would be advantageous to have a working knowledge of the Care Act including Safeguarding Adults; the Mental Capacity Act 2005; and Best Interest and Health and Social Care eligibility criteria. However, this is not essential, and a full suite of training is available.
