Bristol Register Office is pleased to offer an opportunity to join our prestigious team of casual assistant registration officers, supporting citizens of Bristol at key emotional times in their lives.
As part of our high-performing team, you will register and conduct marriage, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies. These are held in some of Bristol’s most beautiful buildings, including the Old Council House on Corn Street, approved premises and places of worship.
We are looking to welcome friendly, confident public speakers, who are committed to ensuring that couples and new British citizens have a memorable and special ceremony. You will also perform a variety of administrative duties in accordance with statutory regulations. We expect exceptional service for all our customers, who reflect the different backgrounds and cultures of the Bristol community.
You will be expected to work primarily at weekends and some bank holidays, mainly through busy summer months. We may also offer work during standard office hours.
You must have five GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or relevant demonstrable experience. This role will involve travelling around the area, so it is desirable that you have a full clean driving license and access to your own vehicle for business use.
Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS Check.
