Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

In this exciting role you will work to support, monitor, evaluate and audit the impact and effectiveness of SEN provision and inclusion funding (SENIF) spend for young children with additional needs across the borough attending Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) nurseries, childminders, school-based nursery classes and enhanced provisions.

We are looking for a team player who has excellent intrapersonal, communication and IT skills and is confident in liaising with parents/carers, early years staff and a range of stake holders and managers.

The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate excellent child development knowledge and a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities as well as evidence of relevant training in early years SEND and strong financial management and/or auditing skills. Knowledge of legislation relating to early years and SEND is essential and well as in depth knowledge of safeguarding.
