Hours of work: 25 hours
Location: Brent Start- Hillside Centre, Harlesden Library and other locations.
An experienced SEND Teacher/Lecturer/Tutor required to support adults with SEND in an OFTSED rated Good Adult learning Programme, which forms part of Brent Council’s Adult and Community Learning Provision

The Post
Are you an experienced SEND Teacher passionate about helping students reach their potential? Do you want to work in an OFSTED rated Good Adult learning Programme?
If the answer is yes, then we have a great opportunity for you to join our diverse and dynamic team dedicated to improving the outcomes of our students.
You’ll teach a class of 10-12 learners who are a mixture of Pre-Entry Level to Level One. With their individual needs, abilities, background, and experiences at the centre of your considerations, you’ll ensure the teaching, learning and support you provide is adapted accordingly.
You’ll plan and deliver a creative and innovative quality learning programme, using a variety of traditional, modern, and creative teaching approaches to underpin and compliment learning and achievement.
Your efforts will enable students to maximise their learning potential, develop confidence and the ability to learn independently as well as within the group dynamic.
The Person
You’ll be a passionate, highly experienced SEND practitioner with substantial SEND teaching experience in secondary or post-16 education. You’ll be confident in whole curriculum teaching and familiar with both traditional and modern teaching techniques.
Experience supporting learners with the following diagnosis’ is highly desirable:
• Autism (ASC)
• SEMH
• AHDH
• Speech and Language and Specific Learning
• Mental Health
The team here is a small team of experienced practitioners who are committed to the best outcomes for adults with a learning disability and a range of learning differences. The team comprises of teachers with a wide breadth of experience always working in innovative ways to secure the best outcomes for students.
