Job Introduction

The Community Sports and Activities Development Unit’s function is primarily to focus on development and delivery programmes that allow people in the Bradford district to be physically active. During school holidays the team’s focus is delivering sport and physical activity provision to children and young people as part of the Healthy Activity and Food Programme (HAF).

 

 

Role Description

 

We are recruiting Casual Sports/Dance Coaches who can deliver sports or dance activities and work for 10 days of the 2026 summer school holidays (Through July and August). This role is an opportunity to ensure children and young people have opportunities to be active and have fun. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Work as part of a team to deliver and supervise sports, games or dance to children and young people.
  • Work at various locations across the Bradford district (During the summer school holidays this work will be in parks).
  • Set up and dismantle equipment used in delivery of the activities.
  • Be willing to work flexible times including evenings, weekends and bank holidays if required.
