Job Introduction

Roles Available in Bradford & Keighley

Make a visible difference every single day.

Are you someone who likes to stay active, work outdoors and be part of a close-knit team?  We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Driver/ Collector with above-average driving skills to join our team. This is more than just a job - it’s an essential frontline service with real responsibility and real impact. Our crews are the backbone of environmental services, supporting over 200,000 households and thousands of local businesses, and we value their work.

If you want stable employment, a great team spirit and a role where your work truly matters, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a professional collection crew, you will:

  • Drive an HGV, sometimes in challenging environments
  • Collect Food Waste, Household Waste, Recycling and Garden waste across the district
  • Work closely with your team to complete daily routes safely and efficiently
  • Handle a range of Bulk Waste containers, including wheeled bins, sacks and commercial bins
  • Help ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe and well maintained
  • Deliver a courteous, helpful service to residents and local businesses

This is an active, physical role - you’ll be on your feet and moving throughout the day - and you’ll finish each shift knowing you’ve made a real difference in keeping your community clean, safe and running smoothly.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re not just looking for experience - we’re looking for the right attitude. Experience in waste collection or similar outdoor work is helpful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Professional drivers, with strong, confident driving skills, all year round outdoors, particularly when reversing.
  • Physically fit and happy to work outdoors all year round
  • Motivated, reliable, and team-focused with a strong work ethic.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-focused at all times
  • Professional and respectful when dealing with members of the public

If you are interested in the role, but unsure whether you meet the requirements, we encourage you to apply - we value potential, attitude and commitment as much as experience.
