This position is within the Performance and Business Intelligence Team which is part of our wider Knowledge and Information Service. Role Description

In this role, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our dedicated team in the department of Adult Social Care, Health and Housing. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city, providing approaches and tools to help the organisation to support residents and learn what we can do differently. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Work with colleagues within Adult Social Care and the wider council to develop reporting that allows users to access on a self-service basis. 
  • We are looking for someone who can successfully implement a self-service approach to information, using analytics and Business Intelligence platforms, e.g. Power BI/Qlikview/Tableau
  • Ability to document developed process. 
  • Experience developing SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting. 
  • Experience with power automate builds is advantageous and the ability build, diagnose and fix reporting pathways. 
  • Work with colleagues to improve processes to ensure that appropriate automation is developed to maximise use of resources. 
  • To analyse, interpret and present complex health and social care related intelligence to a wide range of audiences. 
  • To support managers and teams in developing skills and confidence in gaining insights from data to improve performance and act as a critical friend.
  • Proactively quality assures data and work to develop solutions to ensure improvement in data quality.
  • Maximise the transparency of Adult Social Care data, both within the council and to the public.
  • Deliver submission of a number of statutory returns and benchmarking datasets to partners including Department of Health and the Association of Directors of Adult Services (ADASS) and our Client Level Data submissions. 
  • Work with colleagues in the Performance and Policy Team within the Chief Executive’s Office to provide peer support and share ideas to further develop effective and efficient working practices around Business Intelligence and performance across the council.
