We work with older people (Over 64) within the department of Adult Social Care and are looking to appoint 3 full time Social workers to support the South and Keighley/Airedale areas.

*Bradford South encompasses several communities, and wards including Tong, Queensbury, Great Horton, Wyke, Royds and Wibsey. 

*Keighley and Airedale area team provide support to communities within Oakworth, Howarth, Braithwaite, Silsden, Addingham and Ilkley.

The Older Peoples assessment and support services in Bradford provides, advice and care co-ordination for older adults who may need assistance to maintain their independence.  We work closely with individuals, families, healthcare professionals and community organizations to assess needs, arrange appropriate services, safeguard vulnerable adults and promote dignity and choice.

We are looking for an Adult Social Worker who:

  • Holds a BSc/BA MA/MSc (Hons) Social Work degree or appropriate equivalent and a current Social Work England registration
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Is committed to strengths based practice, demonstrates person centered thinking and promotes independence, choice and dignity across their practice.
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.  Can manage a varied case load and can prioritise competing demands.
  • We welcome applications from both Newly Qualified and experienced Social Workers
